Happy New Year!
I opted to not wake up with a hang over to start off 2012. Instead I went to bed before midnight so I could wake up early to head out on the annual Swampy Pass New Years tour. Started off the morning right with a perfect shot of espresso!
I think the New Years day tour started about 8 years ago and has become an annual event that always draws a large crowd of Crested Butte and Gunnison athletes for an all day tour. This year was no exception with 20+ people out to enjoy the blue sky and perfectly calm day. The tour is a great social event and is many peoples first big tour of the year (including me this year). The tour basically circumnavigates the Anthracite range.
